The second year of International Symposium on Fundamental and Applied Sciences (ISFAS 2014) is scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan from March 28-30, 2014. This conference aims to provide a communication platform for academics, researchers, graduates and industry professionals to not only present their recent and latest researches but also share their thoughts and discuss the future development in the field of global information and management.

Noted, any requests for modifying the author’s information/abstract/full paper in the ISFAS program/proceedings are not acceptable after February 26th, 2014.

Please follow the conference paper format, and the length of each paper should be 10 or less than 10 pages. The full text manuscripts should be submitted by one of the authors of the manuscript by using the online system. Regardless of the source of th word-processing tool, preferably MSWord.

General Information

Parallel Sessions
Parallel Sessions will run on March 29th and 30th. Sessions are usually 90 minutes in length, and normally include six or seven presenters.

Presentations and Equipment
All meeting rooms are equipped with a screen, an LCD projector, and a laptop computer installed with PowerPoint software.  You will be able to insert your USB flash drive into the computer.  We recommend that you bring two copies of your presentation in case if one fails.  You may also link your own laptop computer to the projector cable, however if you use your own Mac please ensure you have the requisite connector.

A Polite Request to All Participants
Participants are obliged to arrive on time for all sessions, whether to their own, or to those of other presenters.  Presenters should pay special attention to the time slots that are subject to be divided equally among all oral presentations in one session to ensure that each presenter has equal right to presentation.  The session chair is responsible for taking care of the fair division of presentation time.

Poster Sessions & Poster Requirements

Materials Provided by the Conference Organizer:
• X Racks & Base Fabric Canvases (60cm×160cm)
• Adhesive Tapes or Clamps

Materials Prepared by the Presenters:
• Home-made Poster(s)

Requirement for the Posters:
• Material: not limited, can be posted on the canvases
• Size: smaller than 60cm*160cm

Associate Professor,School of International Studies
Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan


Associate Professor at the School of International Studies, Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU), teaches and researches in International Security, Foreign Policy and Australian Politics.  He also teaches for the School of Law and Politics at KGU, and has previously been a lecturer at Macquarie University, and the University of NSW in Sydney, Australia.
